Week 3B

Today we went over the reading, reviewed Shapes on a Page, and went over How to Read a Page. Then we had a mini critique where we walked around the class and wrote down improvements. We then had the rest of class to work on our layouts.

I got my first and final layout finished during class. I was told to fix the rag of the paragraph in the first layout and to split my paragraph into two columns on the last layout. I was able to finish those in class. I really struggled with my middle layout. I was told that it was a little too uniform and was not blending with the other two layouts. I had a really hard time trying to find a layout that worked. I spent the rest of class just moving text and glyphs around on a page experimenting with ideas.
